To manage contests created in NorrCompetition, navigate to **Components > NorrCompetition > Contests** or click on the **Contests** icon on the NorrCompetition Control Panel dashboard.

The main Contests list view displays all configured contests:

### Search Tools & Filters At the top of the table, the **Filter Options** (Search Tools) bar provides instant filtering: * **Search** – search contests by title or alias. * **Select State** – filter by publication status (*Published*, *Unpublished*, or *Trashed*). * **Select Type** – filter by contest type (*Photo*, *Video*, or *Simple*). * **Select Status** – filter by operational status (*Active* or *Closed*). * **Select Category** – filter contests assigned to a specific category. * **Select Access** – filter by viewing access level group (*Public*, *Registered*, *Special*, etc.). * **Sort Table By** – sort by Ordering, State, Title, Type, Access, Created Date, Start Date, End Date, Status, Entries Count, or ID. * **List Limit** – select how many contests to display per page (default: 20). ### Table Columns * **Ordering** – drag and drop rows or enter numeric order values to set the frontend display sequence. * **Checkbox** – select one or multiple contests for batch toolbar actions. * **State** – publication state (*Published*, *Unpublished*, or *Trashed*). Unpublished contests and their assigned entries are hidden from frontend visitors. * **Title** – contest title and alias, with the assigned category title displayed below. Click the title to open the contest edit form. * **Type** – contest media type (*Photo*, *Video*, or *Simple*). * **Access** – Joomla viewing access level required to view the contest. * **Created Date** – creation timestamp and username of the contest author. * **Start Date** – scheduled start date and time. * **End Date** – scheduled end date and time. When this timestamp is reached, the contest status automatically transitions to *Closed*. * **Status** – current operational state (*Active* or *Closed*). * **Entries** – total number of entries submitted to this contest. * **ID** – unique database identifier of the contest record. ### Toolbar Actions

* **New** – opens the form to create a new contest. See [Creating Contest](/norrcompetition/contests/creating-contest.md). * **Edit** – opens the selected contest for editing. * **Publish** – publishes selected contests. * **Unpublish** – unpublishes selected contests. * **Check-in** – checks in selected contests that were locked by another administrator. * **Trash** – moves selected contests to Trash. To permanently delete, filter by *Trashed* state, select the items, and click **Empty Trash**.

A contest cannot be permanently deleted if it contains entries. You must delete or reassign all entries belonging to the contest first.

* **Clean Votes** – resets and purges all votes associated with the selected contests. ### Changing the Order of Contests To reorder contests on the frontend: 1. Click the **Ordering** table header column to sort by ascending ordering. 2. Click and hold the three-dots drag handle icon next to any contest row. 3. Drag the row to its desired position and release. The new order saves automatically.
