# Votes Log

Learn how to monitor, validate, score, and export votes in NorrCompetition.

The **Votes Log** provides a comprehensive audit trail of every vote cast across all contests. Administrators can analyze voter fingerprints, verify IPs, adjust validity statuses, review fraud risk scores, and export vote datasets.

To access the log, navigate to **Components > NorrCompetition > Votes** or click the **Votes** icon on the NorrCompetition Control Panel dashboard.

The main Votes Log view displays all recorded voting transactions:

### Search Tools & Filters

* **Search** – search votes by entry title or voter username.
* **Select Contest** – filter votes cast in a specific contest.
* **Select Valid** – filter by validation status (*Valid* or *Invalid*).
* **Sort Table By** – sort by Entry Title, Contest Title, Voter, Vote Time, IP Address, Valid Status, Score, or ID.
* **List Limit** – number of records to display per page (default: 20).

### Table Columns

* **Checkbox** – select vote records for batch validation or deletion.
* **Entry** – title of the contest entry that received the vote.
* **Contest** – contest to which the entry belongs.
* **User** – username of the registered voter, or *Guest* for anonymous voting.
* **Vote Time** – UTC timestamp when the vote was cast.
* **IP Address** – IP address of the voter.
* **Valid** – operational status (*Valid* or *Invalid*). Invalid votes are discounted from entry vote tallies and leaderboards.
* **Score** – anti-fraud trust score rated on a scale from **0 to 10** (where 10 represents fully trusted and 0 indicates high suspicion of automation or abuse). The scoring algorithm evaluates client fingerprint consistency, rate limiting thresholds, and custom plugin triggers.
* **ID** – unique identifier of the vote record.

### Toolbar Actions

* **Validate** – mark selected votes as *Valid* (includes them in contest standings).
* **Invalidate** – mark selected votes as *Invalid* (discounts them without deleting the audit record).
* **Delete** – permanently delete selected vote records.
* **Export** – export the currently filtered vote records as a CSV file for offline spreadsheet analysis.
